Creative Arts

  • Arts & Crafts

Each PASA student enjoys a weekly visit to the art studio—an incredible emporium of all things creative! The children are introduced to a variety of visual arts materials, learn about master artists, and begin to think critically and creatively. At the end of the school year, each child receives a portfolio of his/her museum-quality masterpieces.

  • Music

PASA's music program introduces children to the basics of music, allowing their creativity and expression to shine! The children sing, dance, and play a variety of musical instruments, creating a wonderful cacophony that's unique to PASA. While enjoying the wonders of music, the children are also unknowingly building the skills necessary for reading and math readiness. They showcase what they've learned during our Christmas Show, ‘Arty Parties,' and a Spring Show in May.

  • Chapel

Chapel, also known as "Godly Play," uses Christian language—such as parables, sacred stories, liturgical actions, and moments of silence—to bring meaning into our daily lives. Children are not just passive listeners. In a Godly Play classroom, sacred objects made of wood, fabric, and wicker invite children to touch, feel, and engage with the stories. Additionally, having beautiful items designed specifically for them tangibly communicates the importance of their religious education to the children. We warmly welcome families of all faiths to our PASA community.

  • Movement

The movement classes at PASA are held on a weekly basis and aim to encourage all children to develop their gross motor skills and engage in physical activity. The school uses the parish hall, a large indoor multipurpose room, for a variety of activities such as mini-Olympics, parachutes, tumbling, obstacle courses, yoga, and aerobics. Additionally, movement activities may also take place outdoors on the playground. The movement class provides a great opportunity for children to learn about developing healthy habits for life.
